What did your family & you do during the summer?

We're lucky to have Grandma, Grandpa & Great Grandma living in Pismo
Beach! Their house is walking distance to the beach & pier, where Ryan was able to
play with (and, unfortunately throw!) sand. During our many visits this summer, we
enjoyed the Farmer's Market in Avila Beach, played at the new Dinosaur Caves Park in
Shell Beach and attended the lively St. Anthony's Portuguese Festival in Pismo Beach.
We also snacked at a unique Belgium french fry boutique in San Luis Obispo and had
dinner at the Big Sky Cafe, where California cuisine is king. We hope to enjoy the
San Luis Obispo Children's Museum and Ocean Dunes on our next visit. There's so much
to do and enjoy on the Central Coast. I highly recommend it.

We ate a lot of ice cream while awaiting the arrival of our new baby boy, Daniel, and
we have not stopped eating a lot of ice cream, with a side order of a lot less sleep.

We did pretty mundane things. Christopher attended summer school & took swimming lessons.
We went on our annual trip back to WI to see family & friends. While Christopher stayed with Grandma & Grandpa, Mike & I spent a couple of nights away at a resort with a spa. The massages were relaxing & one was unusual (Moroccan hot oil).

We traveled to the great state of West Virginia for business (WV is July is definitely NOT
for pleasure!) We also went camping and did a lot of day trips to the beach and around the general area - Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, etc...
